Bigg Boss 4: Dolly Bindra flouts Bigg Boss House rules

Controversial former actress and producer Dolly Bindra – slated to enter the Bigg Boss, Season 4 Reality Show on Monday, has already flouted the rules of the Bigg Boss House and the terms of her contract with the production house Endemol. Legal experts whom we spoke to opine that the 20-plus page contract with Viacom 18 and Colours channel forbids any inmate or prospective inmate or their associates from speaking to the press or giving interviews or declaring to the media that he or she would be part of the reality show in any way.

However, prior to her entry as a wild card, Dolly Bindra spoke to Mid-day and even gave them an interview openly declaring that she was to be the next wild card entrant after Khali. She said, “A wild person is making a wild card entry. I am looking forward to it. Hope to have some fun. If I like someone, I will say it and if I don’t, I will say it too.” This is a blatant disregard for the contract, say various legal eagles. The contract stipulates that if an inmate breaks the rules or speaks to the media declaring his or her entry, he or she could be disqualified and denied entry into the house. It now happens to be seen if Bigg Boss will take some action or if the Bigg Boss rules are only meant for lesser mortals.

Last year, a controversial producer-cum-actor-cum-script writer was openly declaring at parties that he was part of the reality show. Various contestants in the past, particularly the Page 3 kind, have openly solicited votes and support at parties and events prior to their entry into the house. “This is a blatant violation of the rules, but Bigg Boss has always overlooked such transgressions. I think such contracts and rules are made only for the common man,” says one legal eagle who was also approached to be part of the show.
